Paskuhan Village night market in San Fernando, Pampanga opens


Families looking for something new to visit this Christmas season may want to visit the newly opened night market in the "Christmas capital of the Philippines" —San Fernando, Pampanga.

According to a report by Jaime Santos on "24 Oras," the Christmas spirit can be felt in the attraction which as set up at the Old Paskuhan Village in the province. The place is full of stunning and colorful Christmas decorations, like the giant lanterns, which the Kapampangans are also known for.

Since it opened on Saturday, October 2, 2022, many visitors have shared the place with their families and loved ones.

Christmas staple bibingka and hot chocolate are available at the night market.

The Giant Lantern and Tourist Information Center also have a museum promoting the giant lanterns' history and tradition.

"This talks about the history of the lanterns and timeline namin and how it's so much part of our history and culture ng ating syudad," said Ching Pangilinan, tourism officer of San Fernando City.

The paskuhan village is open until December 2022, and everyone is welcome to visit and feel the early Christmas spirit.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA News
