Lucena City court suspends afternoon work after fire incident
The Regional Trial Court Branch 58 of Lucena City on Tuesday declared half-day work following a fire incident earlier in the day.
In a memorandum posted on the Supreme Court's Twitter account, Executive Judge Dennis Galahad Orendain ordered the physical closure and suspension of afternoon work in the said branch.
According to the memorandum, the branch needed to be cleaned and disinfected due to the use of dry chemical in extinguishing the fire that hit the branch in the morning.
"Earlier today, a small fire affected the electrical circuit in the said branch necessitating the use of dry chemical to extinguish it," the memorandum states.
"The chemical residue is irritating and suffocating, thus the need to vacate the office," it adds. —KBK, GMA News
