Wayward truck crashes into house in Batasan Road, several hurt

Several individuals sustained injuries on Monday afternoon after a wayward six wheeler truck crashed into a house along San Mateo-Batasan Road in Quezon City.

According to GlenJuego’s report on Super Radyo dzBB on Monday, the truck first hit a jeepney carrying scrap metals.

Due to the strong impact of the collision, the jeepney turned to its side while the truck rammed into a house by the roadside.

The incident caused heavy traffic on the north and south bounds of the San Mateo-Batasan Road.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is currently towing the truck to ease traffic flow.

Meanwhile, personnel of Quezon City Public Office Safety arrived in the area to provide first aid to the injured individuals.—Mel Matthew Doctor/LDF, GMA News
