PCG rescues 2 distressed fishermen off Naic, Cavite


Personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued on Wednesday, September 21, two fishermen from their half-sunken motor banca in the vicinity waters off Naic, Cavite.

In an incident report, PCG Sub-Station Tanza said it responded to a maritime incident involving M/bca "Mommy Yolls" with two fishermen onboard off Barangay Labac in the municipality of Naic, the PCG said Thursday.

The Coast Guard identified the rescued fishermen as George Gapate, 52; and Rodolfo Tulibas, 18, both are residents of Barangay 49M, Bagong Pook, Cavite City.

 

“They encountered big waves while transiting the waters off Labac, which damaged their motor banca's hull,” the PCG said.

Also, the PCG said the rescued fishermen were both in “good physical condition." —LBG/GMA News
