Dasmariñas City traffic enforcer shot at close range by motorcyle-riding suspect

CCTV footage showed a Dasmariñas City, Cavite traffic enforcer being shot at close range in broad daylight, Jonathan Andal reported Sunday on “24 Oras Weekend.”

The video showed Edgard Quiroga talking with his colleague when a lone gunman onboard a motorcycle approached him from behind and shot him several times.

Quiroga, who was shot in the jaw and body, was immediately brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Dasmariñas City Police said the victim survived the shooting and was in stable condition. They are looking into Quiroga's work as the possible motive for the shooting.

Meanwhile, Dasmariñas City Mayor Jenny Bargaza and Cavite 4th district Representative Elpidio Bargaza Jr. are offering P100,000 to anybody who can help authorities arrest the suspect.

The motorcycle-riding gunman was last seen headed towards Silang, Cavite, riding a pink motorcycle without a plate number.
