Man nabbed in Davao over alleged threats to expose ex-girlfriend's private photos
A call center agent was nabbed in Davao City for allegedly threatening to spread the private photos and videos of his ex-girlfriend.
Investigation revealed the 43-year-old suspect told the victim, "Denise," that he would delete the photos only if she would agree to see him in a hotel.
The victim immediately sought the assistance of the police after receiving the message.
An entrapment operation jointly conducted by the Davao City Police Cyber Response Team and Sta. Ana Police Station led to the suspect's arrest outside the hotel where they would supposedly meet last August 15.
Police said the suspect will also be facing drug-related charges after five sachets of a white crystalline substance believed to be crystal meth (shabu) and various drug paraphernalia were recovered from his possession.
The suspect is now under the custody of Sta. Ana Police Station 1. He was charged for violating Republic Act 9262 or Violence Against Women and their Children, RA 9995 or Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, both in relation to RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.—LDF, GMA News
