Rat bite cases rise in Dagupan City amid rainy season

There has been a notable increase in rat bite cases in Dagupan City amid the rainy season, according to the report of GMA News Balitang Amianan on "Saksi" on Friday.

Two to three rat bite cases are reported every day, data from the Dagupan City Health Office showed.

Some residents trooped to the health center and asked to be inoculated against tetanus, which can be acquired from rats.

Others asked to be inoculated against rabies.

The city health center said there is ample supply of anti-rabies vaccines for animal bite patients.

From January to May 2022, around 3,000 animal bite cases were recorded in Dagupan. The figure this year is higher compared to last year. —BAP/KG, GMA News
