Gush of flood water on Misamis falls sends bathers fleeing

The sudden gush of flood water on a waterfalls in Misamis Oriental prompted several individuals to flee the area.

According to a report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, some teenagers were bathing at the Kanapulan waterfalls in Naawan town for a day trip when the incident happened.

The clean water also turned muddy as seen in the video of Racz Tor.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Misamis Oriental said that no one was reported injured or killed in the incident.

It added that rain possibly fell in the upper part of the area causing the water to spill into the waterfalls.—Mel Matthew Doctor/LDF, GMA News
