Magnitude 5.1 quake hits Dalupiri Island, Cagayan
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a 5.1-magnitude earthquake near Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan on Tuesday afternoon.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin with a depth of 16 kilometers, occurred at 4:42 p.m. Its epicenter was traced to 31 kilometers southeast of Dalupiri Island.
It was felt at:
· Intensity IV in Calayan, Cagayan
· Intensity III in Pasuquin, Bacarra and Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Sanchez Mira, Cagayan
· Intensity III in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte
· Intensity II in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and Claveria, Cagayan
· Intensity I in Gonzaga, Cagayan
