Tuguegarao university holds face-to-face graduation amid COVID-19 pandemic
A university in Tuguegarao City held its first face-to-face college graduation last week since the COVID-19 pandemic struck almost two years ago.
According to a report on "24 Oras" on Thursday, the graduation of college students from the University of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao was the first in the province amid the pandemic
One of the students who graduated could not help but be emotional as he received his college diploma.
"Makita ko 'yong lola ko na tuwang-tuwa habang kinukuha ko 'yong diploma," he said.
University vice president for academic affairs Dr. Emmanuel Pattaguan said they were allowed by the local Inter-Agency Task Force to conduct the ceremony.
He said they strictly observed minimum health protocols.
"Kami ay masayang-masaya bilang administration na nangyari 'yon na pinayagan kami, full support ng ating Tuguegarao City government," Pattaguan said.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
