Quezon municipality to give double pay to employees who are single on Valentine's Day

Employees of the local government of General Luna in Quezon province who are single will receive double pay on Valentine's Day, according to an Unang Balita report on Thursday.

The executive order said this is to honor unattached employees who will come to work on Valentine's Day. Single employees who will not come to work on February 14 will be on leave with pay.

The concerned employees only need to fill out a form from the executive department, the report said. 

According to the local government unit, this move is an example of their "innovative governance." —KBK, GMA News
