Long lines at Olongapo City vaccination site following order on limitations for unvaxxed
Huge crowds were observed at vaccination sites in Olongapo City on Tuesday following the government order to restrict the movements of unvaccinated individuals.
According to a report on "State of the Nation," there were long lines of people waiting outside Columban College seeing to obtain vaccination stubs.
The vaccination program in the city is by schedule and per stub basis.
Based on the video of Piano Edwin Batang Gapo on GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan, physical distancing was not observed in some vaccination sites.
On Tuesday, the situation has normalized and the vaccination process is orderly.
Earlier, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the government target is to provide four doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Galvez said a Vaccine Expert Panel has suggested that people need five doses of the vaccine to reach full immunity against COVID-19.
Currently, the government is administering third doses to senior citizens and immunocompromised individuals, while booster shots are given to those who completed the primary doses -- single for Johnson & Johnson's vaccine, double for the other bands. -- Ma. Angelica Garcia/BAP, GMA News
