Davao City investigates two bomb threat reports

The Davao City government on Tuesday said it was looking into two bomb threat reports.

In a Facebook post, the local government advised residents to remain vigilant, saying that “violent extremism is a scourge around the globe.”

“On the other hand, threats may be politically motivated particularly from people who have evil intent,” it added.

The city government appealed to the public to immediately pass on information on planned “terror attacks” and “suspicious activities” to Task Force Davao, through the hotline numbers:

  • Landline: 224-0911
  • Smart: (0999) 227 1111
  • Globe: (0917) 131 4333

“Let us cooperate and practice a culture of security – volunteer, participate, remind, and report,” the local government said. — DVM, GMA News
