Bohol covered in mud, darkness after Odette

Flooding and powerful winds from Typhoon Odette left several Bohol localities covered in mud, left the entire province without electricity, and claimed the lives of 94 residents.

In Ian Cruz's "24 Oras" report, cars and motorcycles were swept away by floodwaters that were 11 to 20 feet deep in Loboc, Bohol.

Residents took shelter on the roofs of their homes while Odette's rains battered the province.

Odette's winds also knocked down trees at a famous man-made forest between Loboc and Pilar.

The Tarsier Conservation area in Bohol was not spared from the typhoon's impact. With this, only two tarsiers, considered the most endangered primates, could be seen as the others had taken shelter under rocks and large tree branches.

Meanwhile, of the 94 fatalities, one was a senior citizen who died after a coconut tree fell on his home.
