Mactan airport operations for domestic flights resume on Sunday, Dec. 19

The Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has announced that operations for domestic flights will resume on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.

"The airport will resume operations to cater to limited domestic flights tomorrow, December 19, 2021, 09:00 a.m.," according to the announcement.

"Passengers are urged to get in touch with their airlines for the re-timing of their flight schedule."

There are no details regarding the resumption of international flights available as of posting.

"Moreover, flights for cargo, emergency, humanitarian, and military will be permitted to ensure unhampered delivery of relief assistance and operations," the MCIA said.

"We will provide updates once available. Thank you and keep safe."

The MCIA earlier announced that all operations were suspended due to the damage brought about by Typhoon Odette.
