52% of adult population in Bacoor now fully vaxxed –mayor
More than half of the eligible adult population of Bacoor has been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla said Monday.
During the visit of the National Task Force Against COVID-19, Revilla announced that 52% have been fully vaccinated while 83% have received at least one dose.
Meanwhile, 23.77 of the adolescents in the city have been fully vaccinated while 53.65% are partially vaccinated against the illness.
Revilla also announced that Bacoor was able to vaccinate 36,484 residents during the three-day vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1.
“Tayo po ay nakatanggap ng liham… na kinikilala ang Lungsod ng Bacoor bilang 4th highest total doses administered sa city category, hitting the 85% committed target sa tatlong araw na iyon,” she said.

She called on the public to join the upcoming vaccination drive's second wave from December 15 to December 17.
“Kailangan pumunta po kayo sa tatlong araw na bakunahan natin, second run po ito sa December 15, 16, 17. Balita ko hindi na ho mamimili kung A1, A2, A3, o A4 ka basta lahat pwede pumunta basta due na kayo for booster shots,” she said.

Meanwhile, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said cases in Bacoor were now down to 19.
“Ngayon, from 3,000 more or less 3,500 active cases, kasama ng nakita natin nagsu-surge dito sa Cavite, ngayon ang kaso na lang ng Bacoor is 19,” he said.
