Dengue cases in Baguio up 700%

Dengue cases in Baguio City have increased by 700%, according to an Unang Balita report on Monday.

Citing the City Health Services Office, over 1,000 dengue cases have been recorded from January to October 4, 2021 -- higher compared to the over 100 recorded during the same period last year.

Ten people have died in the city due to dengue this year, the report added.

Health officers urged residents to maintain cleanliness and remove objects that may become breeding places of dengue-carrying mosquitoes. —KBK, GMA News
