Binga, Ambuklao dams open gates amid heavy rains

Some gates of Ambuklao and Binga dams in Luzon were opened to release water on Wednesday as heavy rains from Severe Tropical Storm Jolina (international name: Conson) poured.

One gate of Ambuklao Dam in Benguet was opened at 0.50 meters, PAGASA reported.

Meanwhile, two gates of Binga Dam also in Benguet were opened at 0.80 meters.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was raised over the southern portion of Benguet (Sablan, Tublay, Bokod, La Trinidad, Baguio City, Itogon, Tuba, Kapangan, Atok) at 5 a.m. on Wednesday due to Jolina. —KG, GMA News
