Digos City worker killed after bridge being demolished collapses

A construction worker died while another was injured on Saturday after they were buried under the concrete bridge that they were demolishing.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the Digos City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office identified the fatality as Joy Elma.

Meanwhile, Elma’s colleague, Dexter Orapa, was in stable condition.

The CDRRMO said the construction workers were seeking to remove the metal on the underside of the bridge when it suddenly collapsed.
