Grade 10 student regarded a hero for saving dog from river
A Grade 10 student from Biñan, Laguna was hailed a hero for the bravery he exhibited in saving a dog that fell into the river, according to a report on Saksi on Thursday.
In the video of Margole Miko Ilagan, 16-year-old Angelo Flores can be seen scaling the riprap along the raging river until he reached the dog.
Holding onto the railing and overgrown shrubs ,the boy was successful in reaching the dog and lifting it to safety.

The Animal Kingdom Foundation regards the young man a hero for his action and voiced hope that this be an example for others to keep animals safe.
In a post on their Facebook account, the Foundation said the boy works at the Biñan Public Market.
"A very humble boy who has a pure heart and a brave soul," the Foundation said of Angelo.
They thanked Councillor Efren Peña who helped them find Angelo and Margole Ilagan of the Binan Market Office who recorded and shared the video.
Angelo was quoted as saying that he took action because "Madami ang naawa sa aso na umiiyak. Pero nasa taas lang sila. Naantig lang talaga damdamin ko at bumaba na ako. (There were many people who took pity on the dog that was yelping. But they were all up there (unable to reach the dog.) I felt pity so I went down (to the river)."
The dog, the Foundation, discovered is named Oreo.
He belongs to a family that lives beside the river.
