Lanao del Norte town mayor's wife caught on video assaulting a man

The wife of Lala, Lanao del Norte Mayor Angel Yap was caught on video assaulting a man, according to a report on "Balitanghali."

Based on the video, Yap's wife, Virginia, continuously battered, punched and kicked a man who was blocking a car door.

Virginia was trying to get a hold of Atty. Saydama Barat, the lawyer representing the farmers Mayor Yap was trying to evict from a property he bought.

Barat said the assault took place after their meeting in the provincial court.

GMA News had sought comment from Mayor Yap but he has yet to respond as of posting time. — DVM, GMA News
