Daughter determined to be a soldier after father died in C-130 crash
The daughter of a soldier who died in the C-130 plane crash in Sulu's Patikul town said she will strive hard to be a soldier to honor her father.
According to Marisol Abdurahman's report on "24 Oras" on Thursday, Sitti Amra Abdurrahman, the daughter of Technical Sergeant Salahi Abdurrahman, said she became more determined to be a soldier after what happened.
"Ang pangarap po namin ay makapag sundalo po ako. Mas naging determinado pa po ako kahit alam ko pong mahirap pero kakayanin ko po para sa kaniya at sa mama at kapatid ko," Sitti said.
At least 53 people were killed, including 50 military personnel in the crash.
The aircraft came from Cagayan de Oro and was bound for Sulu to bring troops when it crashed at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay Bangkal in Patikul town.
Sitti said she would do her best to make her father proud.
"Pa, kung nasaan ka man ngayon, 'wag ka ng mag-alala kasi alam kong itataguyod kami ng maayos ni mama," Sitti said. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/NB, GMA News
