Antipolo Cathedral personnel prepare to join global prayer to end COVID-19

Preparations are underway at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage or the Antipolo Cathedral on Friday, GMA News' James Agustin reported.

The church located in Antipolo town in Rizal province is among the 30 Marian shrines around the world chosen to participate in an international prayer marathon initiated by Pope Francis for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The other shrines include the Basilica of the Annunciation in Israel, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, Mother Mary’s House in Turkey and Our Lady of Lourdes in France.

The prayer marathon has started last May 1 and will last until the end of the month. -- BAP, GMA News
