Damaged by Typhoon Ulysses, 151 houses in Aurora repaired thanks to Kapuso Foundation

Over 150 houses damaged by Typhoon Ulysses in Dingalan, Aurora last year have been repaired thanks to the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to a report on "24 Oras," affected families received galvanized iron sheets through the Silong Kapuso program so they can rebuild the roof of their homes.

One beneficiary is Maria Jusayan, a mother of a child who was born without arms and a wife to a husband who suffered a stroke last year.

"'Yung bahay po namin, natalsikan po ng punong kahoy. Lumipad po 'yung yero tsaka nabutas,” she said.

Elizabeth Borja, meanwhile, desperately tried to gather the damaged pieces of her home after the typhoon.

"Nung ikatlong araw po, naghukay kami. Kahit po sira, kinuha ko pa rin po kahit po hiwa-hiwalay na po talaga," she said.

"Maraming salamat po. Malaking tulong po ito sa amin," she added.

The Kapuso Foundation also donated medicine and rapid test kits to Dingalan's rural health unit with the help of Access Point International Trading, Inc. and Creative Bakers Company, Inc.

Donations may be done through GMA Network's website, bank deposits, and vouchers. —Franchesca Viernes/MGP, GMA News
