School in Marawi City gets new building from Kapuso Foundation

A school in Marawi City has a new building courtesy of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to a report in "24 Oras," Datu Saber Elementary School was fortunately spared from the Marawi Siege but still grew dilapidated over time.

Thanks to the Embassy of Japan and other partners, the Kapuso Foundation was able to turn over a three-story building for the school.

"Ang mga mag-aaral namin, atat na atat, inspired na inspired. 'Kailan kami makakapag klase ng face to face?'" said Mokiin Hadjiisah, the school principal.

The new building has seven classrooms, faculty room, canteen, and furnished upcycled armchairs and tables.

It also has a vertical vegetable garden, a stage, a library with complete set of textbooks and storybooks, hand washing facility, and comfort room.
