Ilagan, Isabela hit by flooding due to heavy rains from Amihan

Heavy rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) brought floods to Ilagan, Isabela, according to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Saturday.

Agricultural fields were flooded and three rivers—Pinacanauan, Cagayan and Magat—overflowed their banks.

Baculod Bridge was also not passable due to flooding.

PAGASA said Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Cagayan and Isabela will have cloudy skies with rains on Saturday brought about by the Northeast Monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during moderate to heavy rains.

Isabela was heavily flooded last month after Typhoon Ulysses dumped heavy rains in many parts of Luzon. —KG, GMA News
