Authorities use a boat for rescue in San Mateo, Rizal floods
Heavy rains from Typhoon Ulysses have brought floods overnight to the valley in eastern Metro Manila and western Rizal province.
In San Mateo, authorities are using a motor boat to rescue stranded residents amid the flood.

The barangay lies near the Marikina River, whose water level has been going up due to the overnight rains. Marikina City has raised a third alarm with the water reaching 20.7 meters, nearing Typhoon Ondoy levels.
On social media, numerous residents in San Mateo have posted about the need to be rescued because of the flash floods.
Ulysses is currently making its way northwestward across Luzon after making three landfalls in Quezon province early Thursday morning. —JST, GMA News
