NDRRMC: Over 24k affected by Pepito onslaught in Luzon
A total of 5,247 families or 24,032 individuals have been affected by the onslaught of tropical cyclone Pepito, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Wednesday afternoon.
NDRRMC spokesman Mark Timbal said the figures were based on preliminary reports and are still subject to validation.
A total of 115 families were affected in Cagayan, 291 in Isabela, five in Nueva Vizcaya, and 16 in Quirino.
In Calabarzon, a total of 4,790 families were hit by the impact of Pepito.
Timbal added that there were no reported fatalities, injuries, or missing persons as of 5:50 p.m.
Signal No. 1 was lifted from the western portion of Pangasinan on Wednesday afternoon as Pepito intensified into a severe tropical storm. -NB, GMA News
