Ilocos Sur open to Luzon tourists starting Nov. 15

The local government of Ilocos Sur has announced that it is reopening its tourism to visitors from Luzon starting November 15.

According to an Unang Balita report by James Agustin on Tuesday, Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Singson made the announcement after seeing the huge interest from those in Metro Manila to visit their province.

Singson added the city's reopening will be of help for those in tourism sector to resume their jobs.

The Department of Tourism lauded Ilocos Sur's initiative.

Last October 15, Ilocos Norte also reopened its doors for tourists from Luzon.

Meanwhile, Zamboanga del Sur has once again implemented liquor ban until October 29 following the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the region.

Establishments were ordered closed, including beerhouses, videokes, resto bars, beaches and resorts.

Mass gathering is still strictly prohibited.
