Realty developer denies involvement in ‘inhumane’ Laguna demolition

A real estate developer denied on Monday any involvement in the “inhumane” demolition of houses in Calamba, Laguna earlier this month.

According to a “24 Oras” report, the Cristobal Realty and Development Corporation maintained that it was the legitimate owner of the land where several homes were demolished. 

Project manager Renard Masongsong said a court had long issued a resolution on their ownership of the land.

He added that most residents agreed to be relocated but others insisted on staying.

“Wala kasing problema na hindi puwedeng pag-usapan. However, if they will be continuously stalling our operations in an illegal manner, we will be forced to file cases or suits against them,” Masongsong said.
