Design of new passenger terminal building of Tacloban airport revealed
The approved design of the New Passenger Terminal Building of the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City, Leyte has been revealed on Tuesday.
In a post on Facebook, House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez, who represents the first district of Tacloban, shared photos of the approved design of the airport's new passenger terminal building.
"After a productive meeting with CAAP (Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines) General Manager Jim Sydiongco, we were informed that construction of the main terminal building will begin before the end of 2020," Romualdez said.
"We are beyond happy with this development— the construction and expansion of a new airport has always been part of our priorities as a Member of the House of Representatives since 2007," he added.
Romualdez thanked the CAAP and the Department of Transportation for the approval of the passenger terminal building's design, saying that it will be "a source of pride and a symbol of progress for the entire Eastern Visayas Region." -MDM, GMA News
