Magnitude 6.3 earthquake jolts Sarangani anew

Following a magnitude 5.7 tremor in the morning, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake rocked Sarangani in Davao Occidental anew on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake was recorded at 3:18 p.m. with with 73 kilometers depth of focus and was tectonic in origin.

It was spotted at 04.13°N, 126.70°E - 159 km S 54° E of Sarangani.

PHIVOLCS said damages are not expected but aftershocks may occur.

The magnitude 5.7 earthquake in the morning was at 04.11°N, 126.80°E - 208 km S 45° east of Sarangani.—Jamil Santos/LDF, GMA News
