Gov’t officials inspect mega-quarantine facility in Calamba, Laguna

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, officials of the National Action Plan Against COVID-19, and local government executives inspected Thursday a mega-quarantine facility in Calamba, Laguna.

Aside from Duque, chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., deputy chief implementer Vince Dizon, Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez, Calamba Mayor Timmy Chipeco also checked the four-storey regional government center which was converted into a quarantine facility, the biggest in Calabarzon.
During a press conference, Dizon said the facility has 650 beds, of which 553 will be for COVID-19 positive, mild and asymptomatic, patients and 97 beds for health workers. It also has cubicles for nurses.
“Malapit nang matapos, according to DPWH, nasa mga 80% na tayo and I think by the end of the month pwede nang tumanggap ng pasyente ito,” he said.—AOL, GMA News
