Church services up to 10% capacity now allowed in Cebu City
Starting on Sunday, churches in Cebu City are allowed to hold services with up to 10 percent of their seating capacity, according to Mayor Edgar Labella.
“Religious gatherings shall be allowed up to 10 percent of the seating capacity, or up to ten people, whichever is higher,” said Labella in his Executive Order 086-B Series of 2020.
“Provided that, religious gatherings shall be limited to the conduct of religious worship and/or service,” he added.
Labella also reminded concerned religious groups to continue observing health protocols in light of the COVID-19 threat even with the easedrestrictions.
“The religious denominations should strictly observe minimum public health standards, particularly the social distancing measures and non-pharmaceutical interventions such as the obligatory wearing of face masks and immediate availability of hygiene necessities in the premises,” added the Cebu City mayor in his order.
