Shabu found in sanitary napkins inside package bound for Bulacan

After becoming suspicious of the package he was supposed to bring to San Jose del Monte in Bulacan, a delivery rider brought it instead to the police, who found sachets of shabu hidden in sanitary napkins.

Richard (not his real name), the delivery rider, said he received the parcel in Caloocan City on Wednesday, according to a 24 Oras report by Jun Veneracion.

Richard said he became skeptical of the transaction as the customer indicated the package was a cellphone holder, but he was handed a shopping bag with shorts inside.

"Pag-abot niya po sa akin sabay alis, du'n po talaga ako nagduda dahil po first time na mangyari sa akin," he said.

Richard stopped by a gasoline station to inspect the package, and discovered two sanitary napkins banded together inside the shorts. He then found sachet of drugs between the napkins.

Richard said.

The driver then called his sibling, a cop, who then advised him to report to San Jose del Monte police.

Authorities conducted an operation and arrested the two women who received the package containing two grams of shabu.

The suspects claimed they don't own the package, and were just requested by someone to accept it.

The suspects underwent drug test and were found positive for drugs use.

They will face charges of possession of illegal drugs, while a search is being conducted for the customer who gave the package.

—Jamil Santos/LDF, GMA News
