SJDM folk told: Stay at home or stay near jobs during lockdown

Residents of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan who are working outside the city have been advised to stay near their respective workplaces or just stay home when it goes on a strict lockdown on Monday.

According to Emil Sumangil’s report on “24 Oras”, the local government will only allow doctors to enter the city when the lockdown goes in effect on Monday.

Only deliveries of essential deliveries will be allowed to enter the city.

The LGU has given its residents a few days to look for temporary housing near their work places outside the city.

“Gusto namin makita ‘yung gaano namin mapipigil ‘yung infected persons dito sa aming lungsod kasi sobrang laki na, no, we’re talking of 407 cases na,” Robes said.

Bulacan is among the high-risk areas placed under a modified enhanced community quarantine for 15 days starting Tuesday.

One resident said she would temporarily stay with friends so she could continue working.

Others, meanwhile, said that they would stay home.

“Talagang mahirap kaya hihinto ka sa trabaho kasi lalabas ka man, mag quarantine ka, mahirapan ka rin umuwi sa bahay kaya di na lang muna papasok talaga,” another resident said. -Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
