Mountain Province records first COVID-19 case

Mountain province in the Cordillera Administrative Region in Luzon has confirmed its first case of the coronavirus disease 2019, a television report said Wednesday.

Citing official local sources, Unang Balita said that the first COVID-19 case in the province is from the town of Besao.

It said that the case (a male) had a close contact with a member of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force, who earlier tested positive for the virus.

Twenty-two people who had gotten in close contact with the Besao case have already been isolated and had undergone swab testing, the report said. —LBG, GMA News
