PDEA-BARMM agents seize P3.4M worth of 'shabu,' arrest suspect
COTABATO CITY - Joint elements of local police, mechanized army troopers and Philippine Drug Enforcement of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) personnel arrested a suspected big time drug dealer in a sting operation on Wednesday afternoon.
PDEA-BARMM Director Juvenal Azurin said the buy bust operation took place around 12:45 in the afternoon along the national highway in Barangay Pinguiaman, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao that resulted to the arrest of Jordan Rakim, 38 years old, a driver and a resident of Datu Angal Midtimbang, Maguindanao.
The suspect fell into the trap after he agreed to sell to a PDEA agent 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu that weigh about 500 grams and placed inside yellow tea bags with Chinese characters Daguanyin.
PDEA agents immediately arrested the suspect after transaction for payment was set up and after showing him bundles of show money.
The suspect is now facing charges violation of Republic Act 9165 or Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. -- BAP, GMA News
