3-month-old baby in La Union recovers from COVID-19

A three-month-old baby boy from San Fernando City, La Union has defeated the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Mayor Alfredo Ortega said Tuesday.

In a statement, Ortega said the infant from Barangay Biday is the fourth recovered patient in the city.

Ortega said the baby was admitted at Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center last April 27 after testing positive for COVID-19.

The baby’s first negative test came out on May 13, while the second was received by the hospital on May 19.

He is currently at the city’s isolation facility and will be discharged on May 20, Wednesday.

“As we celebrate another victory for our city, let us not put our guard down and continue to work together to keep our city healthy, peaceful and clean,” Ortega said.—AOL, GMA News
