Heavy rain, strong wind lash Eastern Samar town where Ambo made landfall

Heavy rain with ferocious wind started lashing San Policarpo municipality in Eastern Samar where Typhoon Ambo made landfall shortly after noon on Thursday.

According to state weather forecasters PAGASA, Ambo made landfall in San Policarpo at 12:15 p.m.

The northern portion of Eastern Samar was under Signal No. 3 as of the 11 a.m. PAGASA severe weather bulletin.

Also under Signal No. 3 were Sorsogon, Albay, Ticao Island, Northern Sama, and the northern portion of Samar. --KBK, GMA News
