Zamboanga del Sur governor issues GCQ guidelines


Zamboanga Del Sur Governor Victor Yu has issued guidelines for the implementation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) on Friday.

The protocol is provided in Executive Order NO-2020-14 that was issued on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 and effective on May 1, 2020.

The guidelines include:

  • use of facemask outside homes
  • use to a Quarantine Pass
  • Persons aged 0 to 20 and those above 60 are not allowed to go out of their house
  • the curfew will remain, from 8 p.m. up to 4 a.m.

The establishments that will be allowed to operate are:

  • hospitals
  • Clinics, including dental and optical clinics
  • Pharmacy
  • Medical Laboratory
  • Supermarkets and Grocery Stores
  • Convenience Stores
  • Bakeries, Food Chains, Coffee Shop and Restaurants (For take out only)
  • Gasoline Stations, Water refilling Stations, Hardware Stores, Construction Supplies, Vulcanizing Shop, Car wash, Electronic shops
  • Utility companies
  • Telecommunication Companies, Internet providers, On-line Businesses
  • Banks and other financial institutions (Limited time)
  • Malls, wet market and other public markets
  • Hotels, Motels, Inns, Lodging Houses
  • Barber shops and Parlors (limited to haircut and selling of beauty products only)
  • Funeral homes (only two family members allowed)
  • food peddlers
  • Farming and Fishing
  • Transportation within the province (only half the capacity of vehicle allowed)
  • Single Motor (only one passenger allowed)

Establishments NOT allowed to operate are:

  • massage clinic and spas
  • cinema and movie house
  • Bars and KTVs
  • Sports facilities and Gyms
  • Resorts and recreational facilities
  • Cockpits
  • Travel tours

Only residents from the following towns are allowed to enter Pagadian City:

  • Monday:         Guipos, Lapuyan, Tukuran, Midsalip, Dumalinao
  • Tuesday:         San Miguel, Margos, Aurora, Tambulig, Tabina
  • Wednesday:   Dinas, V. Sagun, RM, Mahayag, S. Pablo
  • Thursday:        Pitogo, Kumalarang, Sominot, Dumingag, Josefina, Bayog
  • Friday:             Dimataling, Lakewood, Molave, Tigbao, Labangan. 

The following persons with particular occupation are allowed entry:

  • workers in Pagadian City who live in another town (Must present travel pass, company ID at certificate of employment)
  • business owners, wholesalers and retailers (Must present travel pass and business permit)

The other pointers in the guidelines are:

  • Government offices will resume operations but only with a skeletal workforce.
  • The police can check establishments any time of the day to check if employees comply with GCQ protocol
