First COVID-19 case in Los Baños, Laguna dies


The municipal government of Los Baños, Laguna confirmed the town’s first case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) died on March 21.

According to GMA News’ COVID-19 bulletin, Los Baños Mayor Caesar Perez said the patient is a 69-year-old male who went to Baclaran on March 11 and Quiapo on March 16.

Meanwhile, the town of San Pedro has recorded two more cases of COVID-19, its city health office confirmed.

The cases are a 71-year-old female from Barangay Pacita 1 and a 52-year-old male from Barangay Fatima.

The patients are currently confined in separate hospitals outside San Pedro.

A total of 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have already been reported in Laguna as of Thursday.

The Philippines has so far confirmed a total of 707 cases of COVID-19 including 45 deaths and 28 recoveries. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
