Boracay District Hospital closed over possible COVID-19 case


The Ciriaco S. Tirol Hospital, better known as the Boracay District Hospital, in Aklan's Malay town was temporarily closed after a hospital employee was suspected to have the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The employee had traveled to Metro Manila and had a fever.

The worker was now home quarantined, while the hospital was disinfected.

There were no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Boracay.

Meanwhile, a calibrated lockdown was placed over South Cotabato as 18 doctor's in the province were now quarantined.

The province had 2,233 persons under monitoring for COVID-19, with 22 persons under investigation.

Bukidnon province was also placed on total lockdown. — DVM, GMA News
