Four more reported dead of suspected lambanog poisoning in Quezon
Four more people have been reported dead of suspected lambanog poisoning in the province of Quezon.
According to a police report, victims Arvin Jun Santiago Gonzalez, 34, and Dominic Torres Colegio, 29, of Barangay Dalahican in Lucena City were brought to the Quezon Medical Center at around 8 a.m. on December 24.
Both were said to be vomiting, experiencing the loss of eyesight, and displaying "unusual" behavior ("nagwawala").
Gonzalez died at 10:25 p.m. on December 24, while Colegio died at 5:25 p.m. on December 25 while undergoing dialysis.
The incidents were reported to the police at around 3:54 p.m. on Thursday, December 26.
Meanwhile, GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño reports that a couple in Pagbilao, Quezon have also succumbed to suspected methanol poisoning after drinking lambanog on Christmas Eve.
