At least 5 barangays flooded in Santa Ana, Cagayan due to Ramon
SANTA ANA, Cagayan—Torrential rains brought by Typhoon Ramon triggered flash floods in low-lying villages in Santa Ana, Cagayan on Wednesday.
Government forces pulled out all the stops to rescue those who are in dire need of help.
Villagers said water cascading from the mountains quickly submerged their communities hours after Typhoon Ramon hit land in Santa Ana before dawn on Wednesday.

Santa Ana Mayor Nelson Robinion said at least five villages were affected by flash floods.
“Pinalabas ko na lahat ng rescuers at gamit para tulungan ang mga tao,” Robinion told GMA News.
Ramon has since weakened into a tropical storm as it moved inland on Wednesday morning, PAGASA said in its 8 a.m. severe weather bulletin.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 however remains hoisted over Cagayan including Babuyan Islands. —KG, GMA News
