Magnitude 5.2 quake hits Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake with epicenter in Manay, Davao Oriental was reported by PHIVOLCS early Thursday morning GMA News' Jonathan Andal reported.

The quake with depth of 108 kilometers and tectonic in origin occurred at 4:53 a.m.

Aftershocks are expected after the quake but these are not expected to cause damage.

According to PHIVOLCS, the quake is not an aftershock of the 6.3-magnitude temblor that hit Cotabato early Wednesday evening. — BAP, GMA News
