Broadcaster hurt in Davao del Norte ambush

A broadcaster in Davao del Norte was hurt after he was shot Friday morning by unidentified assailants.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Pat Lucero Pacquiao, who is also the provincial public information officer, said he was about to enter the gate of his house on board his vehicle when he was shot from behind.

"Pagdating ko, akma na kong mag-park, marami na akong putok na narinig ko sa bandang likuran," he said, adding one of the suspects was wearing a bull cap and had a handkerchief on his face.

Pacquiao said he was hit in the back of his right shoulder and was at the hospital during the interview.

He said the incident was caught on CCTV and is now being investigated by the police.

Pacquiao said he is not a stranger to death threats because of the topics he discusses in his morning radio program. —KBK, GMA News
