Alleged Malaysian kidnap victim rescued by police in Laguna


A Malaysian citizen  who alleged that he was kidnapped in Parañaque City was rescued by the Biñan City police on Monday afternoon.

According to a spot report of the Binan police, 26-year-old Wong Jun Chuan, who is residing Pasay City, claimed he was kidnapped on Saturday night at the City of Dreams hotel and casino by suspects who brought him to Barangay San Francisco in Laguna.

Chuan said he escaped his captors by jumping over a concrete wall and running away.

He was rescued at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday in front of the Southwoods Mall after a police personnel spotted him and turned him over to the Special Reaction Unit officers patrolling the area.
