PMA probes death of cadet
A Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadet was found unconscious in his room on Wednesday afternoon, reported Allan Gatus on Super Radyo's DzBB.
Darwin Dormitorio was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
His parents, who are based in Cagayan de Oro, have been informed of the cadet's death.
The room of Dormitorio is considered a crime scene and other cadets have been ordered confined to barracks.
In a statement obtained by GMA News Online, the PMA expressed sympathy to the bereaved family of Dormitorio.
"He was a treasured cadet of the PMA community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dormitorio family," the PMA said.

An investigation into the cadet's death is ongoing.
"[The] PMA assures the public that every cadet's overall well-being is constantly and systematically being considered in every aspect of education and training," the PMA said.
In a separate phone interview with reporters, PMA superintendent Lieutenant General Ronnie Evangelista was asked if there was an indication that the victim was subjected to hazing.
"Hindi pa tapos kasi 'yung medico legal kaya hindi pa tayo makapagbigay ng conclusive statement," Evangelista said. "For now, hindi natin pwedeng mai-rule out 'yun." — with Anna Felicia Bajo/BAP/KBK/RSJ, GMA News
