Parts of Agno, Pangasinan still flooded due to monsoon rains

Heavy rains brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) caused floods in parts of the municipality of Agno in Pangasinan.

The floods have yet to fully subside as of Tuesday morning, according to a report by Darlene Cay on GMA News' Unang Balita.

Among the flooded areas is the National Road.

Many motorists were stranded as a portion of the National Road has been flooded since Monday due to heavy rains since before dawn. The water has reached waist level.

A truck tried to cross the flooded area but it had to turn back since the flood was still deep.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office has yet to give clearance if the road is already passable to vehicles.

The area is considered a catch basin for water flowing down from municipalities located in higher areas. —KG, GMA News
